Parents At Ladbrooks School (PALS)
Parents are an active and integral part of our school community. Our parents organisation is called PALS and is a voluntary group of parents who contribute to the school in a wide range of ways.
Key Contacts Tui Wagstaff (Chairperson) Sandra Taylor (Treasurer) Gill Odering (Secretary)
The aims of PALS are:
- to provide general support to the pupils, staff, parents and the community, when necessary
- to provide a social network for parents to meet and interact
- to provide extra financial assistance for the school through fundraising activities
Each Friday a group of parents work on a roster to provide lunch orders for our students. As well as providing a great range of healthy food options for children and staff, this also raises funds for the school.
Notification of meetings is publicised. All parents (and toddlers) are welcome.
Morning teas are held two or three times a term as an opportunity for parents to get to know one another and socialise.
