Special Education Needs Review
In April 2009, Ladbrooks School Board of Trustees commissioned an independent review of the schools ability to provide for children with special education needs. This review was carried out by Mr Paul Kennedy, principal of Halswell Residential College. Paul is highly regarded throughout New Zealand for his expertise in the area of education for students with special needs. He has previously worked in the Ministry of Education in the Special Education area.
Members of our school community past and present were invited to contact Paul to contribute to this review and some did. Paul also spoke with staff, past and present, and with the Board of Trustees.
