Uniform

We are proud of the identity our uniform gives us, and our tamariki wear full uniform every day.

Most uniform items are available at The Warehouse in Hornby. This is in the Schooltex section, currently located opposite the toys. If an item is not available on the shelf, please ask at the customer service counter, as it may be stored out the back, or can certainly be ordered in for you.

Gingham culottes and school dresses are available at Mainland Uniforms, or do check the second hand supplies first for a more economical option.

You can order our Ladbrooks royal blue merino jumpers or navy school jackets through PALS on Kindo should you wish. Samples are available to try on so you can ensure a good fit.

Second hand uniforms: Our PALS team sells second-hand uniform items. These are paid for via Kindo, but please come to the shed (located at the rear of the staff carpark) to check what is available first.

You can find PALS contact details in Kindo to arrange to browse the second hand uniform shop, try on merino/jacket sizes or for any other uniform queries. If you are new to the school and don’t have Kindo yet, please enquire in the office.

Our uniform options:

Plain navy shorts or trackpants, or gingham culottes

Gingham dress

Royal blue polo shirt with school logo

Royal blue sweatshirt and/or polar fleece embroidered with Ladbrooks logo

Merino jumper with Ladbrooks logo

School jacket

Sun hats: A wide-brimmed or bucket hat (both options are available at The Warehouse) is required in Term 1 and Term 4 as per our Sunsmart policy.

Please make sure that any shorts and pants worn are navy blue and do not have any obvious logos on them.

Children may wear blue thermal tops and navy tights in winter as an extra warm layer.

Lost Property: We encourage children to be responsible for their gear and anything that is found will be put in the lost property bench seat at the front of the school.

Year 8 Hoodies: Year 8s will have the option to purchase a royal blue hoodie towards the end of year 7. This is organised by the class teacher.

Sports: Any blue navy shorts can be worn with either a school provided sport-top or the school polo shirt.

Swimming: Children can wear any colour togs but a rash vest is recommended when using our school pool.

Jewellery, makeup, nail polish, coloured tights and 'other' tops are not part of our school uniform and should not be worn at school. Pounamu and other jewellery of significance should be tucked under shirts to avoid injury during sport and play.

It is strongly advised that children with pierced ears wear small studs to avoid accidents.

Practical shoes are a must.
