PALS – Parents and Caregivers Association of Ladbrooks School
The Parents and Caregivers Association of Ladbrooks School (PALS) is a team of parents and caregivers who work alongside school staff and the Board of Trustees to further enrich the learning experience of our Ladbrooks tamariki.
We’re here to support our fantastic school community by fundraising for the essentials, the extras, and the fun-to-have resources. We also love bringing our community together socially and warmly welcoming new Ladbrooks whānau.
Here are some of the ways we support the school:
Friday Lunches
Our tamariki love their weekly lunches, which can be ordered via the Kindo App by 9 am each Friday. We’re so grateful to our amazing Friday Lunch volunteers who make it all happen each week - managing the menu, buying supplies, collating orders, and preparing kai. We’d love your help! If you can spare a few hours on a couple of Fridays each term, please get in touch with PALS.
Merino Jerseys and School Jackets
We regularly batch-order locally manufactured Merino jerseys and soft-shell school jackets through Kindo.
Merino jerseys are fairly true to size.
Jackets run small in the body and long in the sleeves, so we recommend ordering up two sizes (e.g. if your child usually wears an 8/9, consider a 11/12 for growing room).
You’ll find details and ordering options in the Kindo App.
Second-Hand Uniforms
Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we usually have a good stock of second-hand uniforms available. These are sold for $5 per item (or a donation). Contact PALS or enquire at the office to arrange an appointment to view.
Catering and Fundraising
Fundraising through catering and events is a regular part of what we do. While we can’t accept every opportunity that comes our way, we schedule several larger fundraising events each year.
We always appreciate help—both in the lead-up and on the day. Keep an eye out for our calls for support!
Stay Connected
The PALS team is always happy to chat and support however we can. Contributions of time, energy, and ideas are always welcome.
Whether you're a parent, caregiver, or grandparent - you’re warmly invited to come along to a meeting or lend a hand at an event.
We share updates and event information via:

HERO notices from the school
If you can’t make it to a meeting, meeting minutes are posted on HERO so you can stay in the loop.
