On Parental Leave

Gemma is on parental leave for the rest of 2026 and Term 1, 2027. She will return in Term 2, 2027.

Gemma grew up in Timaru and went to the University of Otago in Dunedin and studied to be a social worker, mainly working with teenagers. She did this for about 8 years and lived all over - Wellington, London, Galway, and lots of travel in between.

She loves eating Mexican food, the spicier the better! She loves cooking for her friends, going to see live music, reading books, and going for steep walks up in the hills.

Her dream is to adopt two greyhounds.

Gemma can't understand why mayonnaise is put on some pizza. Why? Really... why?
